I have worked with the shelter for more than 10 years. I have worked with several Executive Directors, boards, and guests. I have cooked, raised funds, been a board member, cleaned for opening, cleaned for closing, shopped and slept over. Through all of those years and experiences, one thing has remained constant; the mission to assist homeless women has not faltered. As we have evolved, we have become more and more adept at working with homeless women to move them out of the distressing circumstances from which they come to us.
I can not tell you how rewarding it is to be a part of an organization that is so focused on achieving such worthy accomplishments. If anyone can find the time to assist in any way, no matter how small, they would be amazed at the huge difference they can make right here in their own community.
